ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL), the overseas arm of India’s largest oil and gas company ONGC, has invited applications for the post of Project Consultant/Advisor on a contractual basis. This opportunity is open to retired professionals from Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The selected candidate will work at the company’s headquarters in New Delhi and help manage international oil and gas projects.
According to the official notification (Advt. No. – OVL/DLH/CONSLT-2025/4), there is one post available, and the position can be filled at different executive levels (E6 to E9), depending on the applicant’s experience and past position.
Position Details
The post is open for a single vacancy but can be filled by a deserving candidate at different E-levels (E6 to E9), depending on their qualification and experience. These levels include:
- E6: Consultant
- E7: Senior Consultant
- E8: Associate Advisor
- E9: Advisor
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: First-class post-graduate degree in Geosciences or a graduate in Engineering with at least 60% marks. An MBA is considered desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 25 years in the upstream Oil & Gas sector as a Production Engineer, Petroleum Engineer, or Geoscientist. Also, 3–5 years of experience in international oil and gas projects is essential.
- Age Limit: Not more than 64 years at the time of joining.
Salary
- E6 Level: ₹1,30,000 per month
- E7 Level: ₹1,47,500 per month
- E8 Level: ₹1,65,000 per month
- E9 Level: ₹1,90,000 per month
The salary includes a base honorarium and an additional allowance.
Nature of Job
The role includes managing international oil & gas projects, providing technical guidance, handling overseas assets, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and more. The work is based in Delhi, and there is no foreign posting.
