Qualifications –
- Principal DPR Expert: Graduate in Civil Engineering; Postgraduate/Ph.D. desirable.
- Senior Highway Expert: Graduate in Civil Engineering with a Postgraduate degree in Construction Management/Highway Engineering.
- Road Safety Expert: Graduate in Civil Engineering with a Postgraduate in Traffic/Transportation/Safety Engineering.
- Traffic Expert: Graduate in Civil Engineering with a Postgraduate in Traffic/Transportation Engineering/Planning.
- Environment/Forest Specialist: Graduate in Civil/Environmental Engineering or any Science discipline with a Post-graduate in Environmental Engineering/Sciences.
- Land Acquisition Expert: Graduate in any discipline, with Postgraduate/Ph.D. in Law desirable.
Age Limit –
- Maximum 65 years for all posts (relaxation may be granted by the Chairman, NHAI).

Salary Details
- Principal DPR Expert: ₹5,00,000/- per month
- Senior Highway Expert: ₹3,50,000/- per month
- Road Safety Expert: ₹3,50,000/- per month
- Traffic Expert: ₹3,50,000/- per month
- Environment/Forest Specialist: ₹3,50,000/- per month
- Land Acquisition Expert: ₹3,50,000/- per month
