Eligibility Criteria
For the Department of Economics:
- Educational Qualification: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer) in a relevant subject from a recognized university or equivalent foreign university.
- NET/Ph. D. Requirement: Must have cleared UGC NET/CSIR NET/SLET/SET or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC regulations.
For Mantaqi Centre for Science & Society:
- Educational Qualification: Master’s degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer) in:
- Social Work
- Sociology
- Science Communication
- or related subjects
- Desirable Specializations:
- Science Communication
- Citizen Science
- Social Entrepreneurship
- Social Work
- NET/Ph. D. Requirement: Same as above.
Note: Ph.D. from top 500-ranked global universities (QS, THE, ARWU) is also valid.

Emoluments (Monthly Salary)
Under the IUST Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025, the salary depends on your qualification:
- Postgraduate Only: ₹45,000
- NET/SET/GATE: ₹48,000
- Ph.D.: ₹50,000
- NET/SET/GATE + Ph.D.: ₹50,000

- Submission of Hardcopy: After online application, submit the printed form with self-attested documents to the Head of the concerned Department/Centre by 30th April 2025.

Selection Process for IUST Recruitment 2025
- Shortlisting as per UGC Regulations 2018 (Appendix II, Table 3A).
- Up to 20 candidates for one post and 5 for each additional post will be shortlisted.
- Final selection based on Interview only.
- The selection panel is valid for 1 year.
