The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) have officially announced the examination date for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025 (IISER IAT 2025). As per the latest notification, the IAT 2025 will be conducted on May 25, 2025 (Sunday) in a computer-based test (CBT) format across various centers in India.
This exam is for admissions into the prestigious five-year BS-MS Dual Degree, BS, and B.Tech programs offered by IISERs.
IISER IAT 2025 Correction Window Now Open
The online application process for IAT 2025 commenced on March 10, 2025, and closed on April 15, 2025. However, candidates who need to rectify any errors in their submitted application form have a brief opportunity to do so.
The correction window is open from 10:00 AM on April 21, 2025, and will close sharp at 5:00 PM on April 22, 2025. No modifications will be permitted post this window.
IISER IAT 2025 Admit Card
Candidates can expect the IAT 2025 admit card to be released on May 15, 2025, via the official portal at www.iiseradmission.in. It is mandatory for applicants to download, print, and carry their admit card to the exam center along with a valid photo ID.
The hall ticket must be printed on A4-size paper and should clearly display the candidate’s photograph and signature. Personal items like mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
IISER IAT 2025 Exam Structure and Marking Scheme
IAT 2025 will be conducted in CBT mode and will consist of 60 multiple-choice questions divided equally among four subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. The test duration is 180 minutes (3 hours). Each correct answer will fetch 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. Unanswered questions will carry no penalty. The maximum attainable score is 240 marks.
