A new job opportunity has been announced by GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna company under the Government of India. According to the latest recruitment notice, the company is hiring for the position of GAIL Full Time FMO (Factory Medical Officer). The recruitment will be on a temporary contract basis. As per the official notification, GAIL Full Time FMO recruitment will be done at the company’s Occupational Health Centre at the Gas Processing Unit in Gandhar, Gujarat. There is only one vacancy for this post. The selected candidate will be appointed on contract for one year initially, which may be extended further based on performance. However, the contract cannot go beyond 31st December 2027.
Candidates applying for the GAIL Full Time FMO post must have an MBBS degree, have completed an internship, and must be registered with the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council. They must also possess a Certificate in Industrial Health (CIH/AFIH/DIH) of at least 3 months’ duration recognized by a State Government. Relevant work experience will be an added advantage.

The selected GAIL Full Time FMO will receive a monthly salary of ₹93,000, along with other benefits like:
- OPD medical allowance of ₹1,000/month,
- Family medical insurance worth ₹5 lakh,
- Personal accident insurance of ₹12 lakh,
- Accommodation in GAIL colony (subject to availability),
- 12 days of paid leave and 12 days of casual leave annually.
