NIEPA LDC Exam Date 2025: The National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), a prestigious autonomous organization under the Government of India, has officially announced the date for the written examination for the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) under Group C. The exam is scheduled to be held on May 4, 2025, and the admit cards are expected to be released shortly on the institute’s official website www.niepa.ac.in.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 10 Lower Division Clerk posts, distributed across various categories — 4 for UR, 3 for OBC, 2 for SC, and 1 for EWS candidates. The position comes under Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900 – 63,200) of the 7th CPC.


Overview of the NIEPA LDC Selection Process
The selection process for the NIEPA LDC recruitment will consist of two stages:
- Stage I: Written Test (Objective Type)
- Stage II: Skill Test (Typing Test on Computer)
Candidates will first appear for a 100-mark objective written test, which will be of two hours duration. Only those who qualify in the written test will be eligible to appear in the qualifying skill test.

NIEPA LDC Exam Date 2025: Written Examination Pattern and Syllabus
The written exam will include five sections, each carrying 20 marks:
- Proficiency in Computer Operation
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Awareness
- English Language and Comprehension
- Quantitative Aptitude
The questions will be bilingual (English and Hindi), except for the English Language section. The difficulty level will be in line with the minimum essential qualification for the post, which is Class 12 or equivalent.
The computer proficiency section will test candidates on basics such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Email usage, and Internet navigation. The reasoning and intelligence section includes questions on analogies, coding-decoding, classification, emotional and social intelligence, among others.
The general awareness section will assess the candidate’s knowledge of current events, Indian history, geography, economy, education system, and India’s neighboring countries. The English section will cover grammar, comprehension, synonyms, antonyms, idioms, and sentence correction. Lastly, the quantitative aptitude part will test number sense, percentage, ratios, simple algebra, interest, profit-loss, and time-related problems.
Skill Test Details
In the second stage, candidates will undergo a skill test, which involves typing on a computer. Typing speeds required are:
- 35 words per minute in English OR
- 30 words per minute in Hindi
This translates to 10500 KDPH and 9000 KDPH respectively, based on 5 key depressions per word.
